Goal setting is critical to achieve the fitness results you desire. Not having a goal would be like studying for a test without knowing what material you will be tested on. Setting a goal sets a course for progression and keeps you accountable. We believe in setting fitness-oriented goals that are measurable and have a deadline. Even if your ultimate goal is to lose weight, to look better, or “improve your health,” you will find that by setting a fitness goal and achieving that goal, you will also lose weight, look better, and feel better as a result.
Examples of fitness goals:
Run a 5K, 10K, ½ marathon, or marathon
Do a sprint, Olympic distance, ½ iron or Ironman triathlon
Do a Spartan or obstacle race
Complete a challenging hike in a certain amount of time
Complete a certain number of push-ups, sit-ups, pull ups…in a certain amount of time
Design your own fitness challenge or “obstacle course! We can help you with this!
Use this formula to craft your fitness goal: My goal is to [blank] in [blank] amount of time by [blank] date. Depending on the goal, you may need to restructure the sentence, but the same concept applies.
Remember, the further outside your comfort zone your fitness goal is the greater your transformation, so dream BIG!
